Business Model

Mercantec offers its products and services through ISPs and other partners like Dell, who then offer the products and services to shop operators. Mercantec collects revenue in two ways: first, it collects a license fee for the system itself and for each shop operating in the Mercantec environment; second, it collects a fee for all transactions that occur within the Mercantec commerce framework. This is done as a function of the credit card transactions cleared, with Mercantec being paid directly by the bank doing the clearing.
