As befits a high performance home theater receiver, the RX-Z1 is ideal for use in custom installations. It is equipped with an RS-232C interface that allows two-way communication between the receiver and the touch-pad remote controller. It provides interactive control functions that are more versatile than that of an ordinary remote control, and has Zone 2 output that enables multi-room control capability.
