The GE SMART ConnectionCenter is a UL Listed "Home System." Sure, the ConnectionCenter serves as a central distribution point for Internet, Ethernet, Telephone, Networking, Home Control, Audio/Video and Security. But it is also a protector. With its unique design, the ConnectionCenter can withstand high amounts of heat generated by the numerous modules contained inside. Its airy, roomy design allows for heat to dissipate preventing damage to wires or the infrastructure of the box, thus enhancing the life of the electrical components in your home. The ConnectionCenter also protects and extends the life of the wires coming in and out of the bays to support the best performance from your audio/video, internet, telephone or other data sources. No more bent wires, frayed edges or blips in your audio or video. The ConnectionCenter was created to maintain the upkeep of wires, cables and other power systems running through your home.

When your needs change, the system can be upgraded easily by adding one or more components to the box. It saves money and time; no need to buy a new box every time you want to add features to your home - just add modules to your current ConnectionCenter. This allows you to start small and then upgrade at any time! Owning a ConnectionCenter makes it possible to support both current and future home technologies.

Designed with the builder, installer, and homeowner in mind, there are some pre-configured systems in each series. The installer simply goes through a four-point selection to design their system:

Choose the number of connections in the home (how many video, telephone and Ethernet connections determines model 400, 800, or 1600)

Select the options (if you want amplified video, Ethernet or a HomeManager determines Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum)

Choose the finish color (Neutral White or Champagne)

Select any upgrades (additional telephone, video, power, Ethernet, or an internet gateway, etc.)

You've just selected your ConnectionCenter System, or you can custom design your own.
